Root Locus for 2 Real Poles and 2 Complex Conjugate Poles
Cuthbert Nyack
Applet shows behaviour of the root locus of a system with 2 real and
2 complex conjugate poles.
The asymptotic behaviour is similar to that with 4 real poles.
Parameters (0.0, 2.0, 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 2.0) has 2 real poles at 0, -2
and 2 cc poles at -1 ± 2j and is stable for K < 16.6.
Parameters (0.0, 1.5, 1.0, 1.0, 2.0, 2.0) has 2 real poles at -1, -1.5
and 2 cc poles at -1 ± 2j and is stable for K < 20.0.
Parameters (0.0, 2.0, 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 2.0) has 2 real poles at 0, -2
and 2 cc poles at -1 ± 2j and is stable for K < 16.6.
Parameters (0.0, 1.0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 2.0) has 2 real poles at 0.5, -1.0
and 2 cc poles at -1 ± 2j and is stable for K < 12.2.
