PID and IPD Control, 2P T1T2

Applet shows the step response of PID and IPD controllers.

With IPD the Integrator is used as the series controller and the PD controller used in the feedback path. In this approach sudden changes in input does not produce large changes in the controller output due to the P controller. As shown below the IPD control system has a slower response than the PID controlled one.
