P Control Third Order Type 0 Step response and Root locus

Cuthbert Nyack
Both applets show the step response and root locus for a type 0 third order system with P control. The continuous system can be unstable. The sampled system is obtained by a ZOH and Gc(s)Gs(s).
eg parameters (K, 1.0, 1.0, 0.9999.. , 0.05, 2.0). The Sampled system is stable for K < 7.5 and the continuous system is stable for K < 8.0.
eg parameters (K, 1.0, 1.0, 0.9999.. , 0.2, 2.0). The Sampled system is stable for K < 6.2 and the continuous system is stable for K < 8.0.
eg parameters (K, 1.0, 1.0, 0.9999.. , 0.5, 2.0). The Sampled system is stable for K < 4.9 and the continuous system is stable for K < 8.0.

The applet below show a larger view of the z plane which include all the poles and zeros.

Gif images below show how the applets should appear.
